Why should I vacation in the Turks and Caicos Islands?
The Turks and Caicos Islands are considered to be some of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean and are unspoiled by the massive growth and congestion that have plagued other islands. Since over three-quarters of the island of Providenciales is protected National Park, the island still holds much of the charm and natural beauty that it has always had. The population of Provo is still small and laid-back - only 30,000 people call it home. Known for its "Beauty by Nature", many visitors discover they can totally relax and enjoy themselves here - something that is hard to do these days.
How do I get to the Turks and Caicos Islands?
Most people come to the Turks and Caicos Islands (PLS) through Miami International Airport (MIA); however, direct jet service to Provo is also provided from London, Toronto, New York, Newark, Boston, Dallas, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago and Charlotte. Regardless, getting to Provo is no problem. Airlines include American, Jet Blue, United, Delta, West Jet, Air Canada, and British Airways.
Why should I choose Oceanside Tower instead of another villa?
In a word - location, location, location! Oceanside Tower gives you the best of both worlds in turks and caicos villas: The privacy and seclusion of quiet Silly Creek Estates, yet close to town and shops, restaurants and sand beaches. Many villas are far from town, hard to get to, away from the water, or in crowded Grace Bay - something they don't advertise. Oceanside Tower is a quick and easy 15 minute drive from town and the airport, 10 minutes from the market, and 5 minutes from white sandy beaches, yet still feels a million miles from anywhere when you get there. Oceanside Tower has it all - spectacular views, gorgeous sunsets, private, secluded low-tide beach, infinity-edged pool, and a screened porch to enjoy the evenings outdoors. Not that you would want to leave once you arrive, but if you do wish to venture out for a hike, shopping, a round of golf, dining, or a day at one of Provo's famous white-sand beaches - it's very easy.
What do I need to bring with me to the villa?
The villa is equipped with everything you would have in your own home and then some. Beach towels, hair dryers, cookery, table settings, coffee maker, blender, toaster, TVs, serving platters, wine glasses, beach toys, books, videos, games, cards, washer, dryer, laundry soap, dishwashing detergent, cleaning supplies and other basics are all included. All you need to bring is sunscreen, a bathing suit, casual clothing and you'll be all set!
What documents do I need to enter/leave the Turks and Caicos Islands?
Does Oceanside Tower Villa have air conditioning?
Passports for U.S. Citizens are required for the Turks and Caicos Islands. Citizens of countries other than the U.S. should follow U.S. travel regulations. Health certificates are not required if you're entering from the U.S.; citizens entering from other countries should follow the same guidelines as for the mainland U.S.
Yes - all bedrooms in Oceanside Tower have both ceiling fans and individual air conditioning units. You may find, however, that you do not need them with the cool island trade winds. Each room in Oceanside Tower Villa has many windows just for this purpose, so don't be afraid to open them all up and enjoy nature's air conditioning! It is one of the special pleasures of Provo to be lulled to sleep with all the windows open, feeling the breezes and listening to the surf lap the shore. Don't miss it if you don't have to.
Are there phones in the villa?
Yes - there is one, land-line phone available in the villa. The phone number used to access the villa is 649-946-8015 . Local calls are paid by us; thus, they are free to our guests. Long distance service can be accessed by major credit card - just follow the directions in the phone book. High-speed internet access is available at no cost for guests who bring their own laptops. Are there any groceries at the villa?

Oceanside Tower is also stocked with an ample supply of emergency supplies such as batteries, flashlights, tape, light bulbs and other necessities for your convenience should you need them.
Is there someone we can contact if there is a problem?
There are three main markets on Provo. The largest of these, Graceway IGA is located on Leeward Highway and is only a fifteen minute drive from the villa. The IGA has just about anything you could need, including a fabulous fresh meats, baked goods and pastries, fresh salads and produce, ice, beer, liquor and wine. Another grocery, Quality Market, is only minutes from the villa.
Yes. We have a property manager, Hope LeVin of Island Escapes, who lives on the island and is available for any problems you may encounter with the villa. Her phone numbers and information will be provided upon your arrival, and she will welcome you at the airport. Also, feel free to contact us (the owners) at any time regarding questions or issues regarding your experience at Oceanside Tower. Our contact information is located on the Contact Us page.
Do we need to rent a car?
Although is not a necessity - we highly recommend it. There is a lot to see and do on the island and you will have a great time exploring, seeing its attractions or just beach hopping! There is taxi service available on the island, but it can take quite awhile for pick-up from the villa and is not too convenient outside of town. Yes, it is true that we drive on the left, but once you get used to it, it's not so bad! Provo is small - there are only a half dozen main roads and no stoplights, so there isn't too much other traffic to worry about, or any way to get lost. We recommend Tropical Auto Rentals. They will also meet you at the airport, and you can drop the car off there when you depart.
